Images shared by Ukraine show that a Russian artillery battery has been hit and destroyed by the Army Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian Center of Strategic communication (StarComm), the attack happened on July 10 in the Southern Kherson region, Oblast.
The images appear to depict Russian military equipment hidden in some remote location ablaze.
The Ukrainian and Russian militaries refused to comment on the stories when contacted by reporters.
On February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine in what President Vladimir Putin still describes as a “special military operation.” Tuesday makes it the 139th day since the invasion. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army Forces reported that between February 24 to July 11, 37,400 Russian troops were killed, 1645 tanks, 3,828 armor combat vehicles, 838 artillery units, 155 cruise missiles, 188 helicopters, 676 drones, 15 warships, 2,696 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, 66 units of special equipment, 247 multiple rocket launch systems, and 109 air defense systems.
In another development, the Ukrainian military said its forces had repelled Russian assaults on Krasmopilia and Marinka in Donetsk Oblast. As the war continues, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s office is that Putin’s troops have so far committed over 22000 war crimes and crimes of aggression.
With the Kremlin’s losses increasing in the Ukraine war, President Putin boasted that he had just started fighting and challenged the west to try to defeat Russia on the battlefield last week.
Furthermore, the Russian leader told leaders of the Russian Parliament that everyone knows that his country’s troops have not started fighting in Ukraine, stressing that the longer the war goes on, the more difficult it will be for Ukraine to engage in a peace talk with Russia”.
