Liberia was one of 40 countries elected to Council of the International Maritime Organisation, London, United Kingdom on 1 December 2017. The Council makes executive decisions in the absence of the IMO Assembly that meets once every two years.
In a highly fought elections in which 25 Countries contested in Category ‘C’, Liberia was able to retain its seat along with other four African Countries-Egypt, Kenya, Morocco and South Africa.
