Ms. Lovo Kolliego, President/Co-Founder of the Diaspora Nurses Health Initiatives (DNHI) is championing the cause within the Liberian Diaspora Community to teach families how to spot the signs of stroke, and most importantly, how to administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in the event a family member or someone collapses and is unresponsive.

Ms Kolliego, teaching young children and other community members during the football game marking the 171st Independence Celebration of Liberia in Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA on Saturday, July 28, 2018, informed families that the prompt administration of CPR by a family member or friend could go a long way in saving a person’s life before emergency response team arrive. She therefore called on Liberians to take the spotting of stroke FAST seriously. Where F=Face dropping; A=Arm Weakness; S=Speech Difficulty and T=Time to call 911.

Ms. Lovo, however, through the Eagle Eye News Outlet, is appealing for support from the community members to take interest in the DNHI. She is hoping to take this initiative to Liberia in the near future and would need the support of the Government in this direction.
