Liberian Lawyer gets Environmental Prize

A prominent environmental lawyer from Liberia, Cllr. Alfred Brown, wins an Environmental Prize for helping save his country rainforest from deforestation.

According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Cllr. Brown is credited with stopping Golden Veroleum (GVL), Liberia largest palm company based in Sinoe County, Southeastern Liberia, from clearing more than 500,000 of forest land to plant palm trees.
