January 22, 2018 witnessed the peaceful transfer of power in 70 years in Liberia. President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf handed power over to Ambassador George Weah who emerged victorious in the Presidential runoff 22 December 2017 between the Ruling Unity Party, Vice President Joseph N. Boakai and the Coalition of Democratic Change, Weah.

There are monumental challenges facing the country, of which bad roads shall rank amongst the top most critical. So deplorable are the roads that during the raining season Counties like River Gee, Maryland, Sanoe, and Grand Kru, all in the South East become inaccessible.
